The Board of County Commissioners, at our 2007 Archives Month presentation, decided to purchase an exhibit case with the intention of having the county archives create exhibits documenting county history/archives/etc. It's going to be in the lobby of the main county building. I'd like to sign it with something to draw people in -- something that's not tied to a particular exhibit. I thought about something like "Multnomah Memories" but that sounds little hokey to me. Any ideas?
I'm not sure if I got your question. So do you want to name the case but not necessarily name the exhibits? or are you trying to do both so that there is a general name for the case but maybe an exhibit title inside? What is the name of the county? sorry for all of the questions.
The exhibits will rotate in a permanent case, so their signage will of course vary. I'd like a permanent sign above the case that identifies it as related to county history/government/etc. It would need to be broad enough to encompass guest exhibits from area partners. The county's name is Multnomah (contiguous with Portland, Oregon for the most part.
