The group will meet in the hotel lobby at 6:00 p.m. before going out to enjoy Charlie Gitto's - an old Italian restaurant tradition in St. Louis. They’re only a few blocks from the conference hotel. See more at their website: http://www.charliegittosdowntown.com/. The restaurant features Italian favorites, and everyone can try St. Louis' famous toasted ravioli.

Please check the “Lone Arrangers’ Social” on the registration checklist if you are planning to attend.

And see the MAC annual meeting site at: http://www.midwestarchives.org/2009Spring/Program%20Spring%202009_Final.pdf .

Thank you for your kind comments on our home! Needless to say it's taking a lot of time and effort to get it back to what it looks like here. I love that we can hear trains from our house, as it sits on the bluff of an industrial valley called the East Bottoms. (There's also a biker bar down there, but we won't talk about that now.) When were you in Kansas City?

Alison,

Hi! Nice to meet you. Unfortunately I am unable to attend the MAC symposium in November and am also not a member of SAA. I do read the listserve regularly and sometimes comment. However my institution does not have a lot of funds to allow for SAA membership or the MAC symposium this year. I hope it goes well though! It sounds very interesting!

Thanks, Alison. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it to this year's symposium. I'll let you know if I'm going. In answer to your second question, yes I am a member of SAA and will consider joining the lone arrangers roundtable.

There will be a dinner directly following the Lone Arrangers Roundtable meeting on Wednesday, August 27th. The Roundtable meeting runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the conference hotel, the Hilton San Francisco.

This will be a great opportunity for lone arrangers to get together informally, connect and network with other lone arrangers, and enjoy a meal as a collective!

Restaurant location to be announced - suffice to say that it will be close to the conference hotel.
