I've just created a Google Group that goes beyond the scope of Lone Arrangers for the Boston-area. This group is the latest version of "Boston Archivist Group," aka BAG- that existed a few years ago and was so folks could get together in between NEA meetings. Christina Zamon, Paige Roberts, and I were talking about how nice it would be to see the other archivists who are so close, yet we rarely see each other. End the isolation! I'm happy to report that the meeting in Newport, Rhode Island was quite good. Many Ning bookmarks were handed out so hopefully we'll see some more folks from New England signing up here pretty soon. Hi everyone- I wanted to share my happiness and enthusiasm that an idea that was sparked during the course of my other activities has turned into a bit of a phenomena, literally over night. This community went live around 11am yesterday morning and as I write we have 54 members. That's probably one of the coolest things I've ever done.
