Working together while working alone
Happy belated birthday, Lone Arrangers!
Well, my mother, of all people pointed out that we now have 160 members, which is really quite amazing and excellent!
It's also been about a year and a month since I established this forum to help archivists- librarians- and those who do similar work, or just really like us, maintain contact in our isolated working environments. I fear I've been more absent-minded than not the last many months, and I'm going to try to correct that.
If any of you are looking to find a way to get more from the group, I would urge you all to look into the various groups that have already formed and join any that seem applicable. If you don't see any that suit and you have a new idea, by all means start a new group.
Also, tell us about you! Write a blog post or forum post talking about things that excite you about being an archivist. If you're not an archivist, tell us about that and how you got here. I just created a new category called "Getting To Know You" for this purpose. Apologies if this song-viruses you, too. Please drop me a line if you have a category you think would spark conversations.
